The location of the hotel is excellent. The room was clean. But the log in process was very stressful and I can't say I'd felt particularly safe in a room with a lock like that. Opening the doors by pressing a button?!

Good value for money, great location

We enjoyed our stay, lovely room , clean and comfortable, good night’s sleep, quiet location but with easy reach of bars and restaurants, in the centre of Malaga old town, the self entry system worked really well, the entry instructions were emailed to mobile. Would definitely stay again when in Malaga.

Ideal if you are travelling on a budget

The room was very small but cheap. The location was perfect and the room and building were clean. there is a lot of building work going on locally, but that will pass. Ideal if you are travelling on a budget.

First time staying here, the auto-check in procedure was totally new to me but worked perfectly (just click on the "open door" link buttons in the confirmation email and hey presto the doors click open. Room was small but very clean and comfortable bed. Only complaint was no towels in my room and no staff to ask, otherwise all good, great central location and will definitely stay here again if price is as good

After seeing the vast mixed reviews of this property I was nervous for my stay, however, the only complaint I have/had was that the pillow was too firm. Everything else was perfect! The room I selected was very small (enough space for one person) The location is amazing, just a 5 minute walk into Malaga central, a supermarket right across the street, very quiet neighbourhood at night, the room had fully Working AC and the shower was amazing. The walls are slightly too thin so you can hear some noise from other guests but it is bearable, I also love the key system they have where your phone unlocks the doors (very secure in my opinion) cleaning staff are very friendly (however most of them do not speak English) which was no problem at all. Everything is self explanatory when checking in and I can honestly say I would definitely stay here again! Overall I would recommend this property if you are either solo travelling or only visiting for a few nights!

It was a most complicated and unusual way of checking in and out. Room in a great location but we were in room in the front, very noisy when people came in and out all hours of the night. Our towels did not dry very well. The pillows were very hard and the bed cover far too thick in the hot weather. Apart from those small things we loved Malaga ❤️

The location was excellent, however not having a physical room key was a little inconvenient. We had to purchase our own hand soap and toilet paper. The air conditioning unit wasn’t working, however a fan was provided and it did slightly cool the room down. All in all, you get what you pay for.

Great for a max of one night on a budget. We landed from the airport and needed a place quickly so we booked this. Check-in was terrible, you’re forced to verify your phone number to complete check in but my verification code didn’t send. I had to try 4 times and still no code and the 5th time it said I would get charged. I then used another phone number, same thing. I had to contact the help chat which was also really slow. After checking in, the property access was smooth, you just need to click links sent to your email and doors will open. The property was very loud, you could hear everything outside which made it hard to fall asleep. The bedding was also very odd quality and looked a bit dirty. The bathroom was small which would’ve been ok if your knees didn’t hit the walls on the toilet (I’m a short person as well). The location though was fantastic! Very close to so many walkable things and price wise it was great. Do not forget to click the checkout link to checkout or you do get fined which is frustrating because at most hotels you can just leave but oh well.

Centrally located hotel. Clean. If you're looking for a quality stay , it may not be for you. Room I stayed in had one window , overlooking the inside staircase so not great. Sound proofing - non existent. I could hear person in next room snoring and as the room was directly opposite the staircase , you can hear everyone getting in and out. Bathroom - to get to the shower you need to put you leg above the toilet seat. But all in all I only used the room to sleep in so it was ok for 3 nights.

Not fantastic but ok

OK for a budget traveller. Location is pretty central but there were a few dodgy characters lingering around the street at night. A lot of building work going on the building opposite and as my room was at the front of the building I got construction noise from early in the morning. It's certainly not luxury but if you can get this place at a low rate then it is ok

Air Conditioning was not working. I paid for a room with AC service. I was not informed that the AC was broken. I had to open the window to refresh the room and to get sleep and I was a lot of noise from the street and the floor fan. Also there was a little roach in the bathroom ceiling.

The room was tiny, which wasn't the main issue - but the bathroom layout made staying in that room impossible. The bathroom was narrow and the toilet faced a wall such that IF you were to sit on it your knees would be crushed. ALSO the toilet was in front of the shower such that you would have to steop OVER the toilet to get out. We check-in and checked-out within an hour - we never slept in the room and left for another accommodation elsewhere.

My stay at A&Z Frailes

No support provided as uts a self service hotel. Never seen any staff at the property and check in and out all done remotely and all messages sent in Spanish. Please English speakers, thus is not your place. I sent a message asking them to communicate in English without success. I was lucky to meet a guy at the entrance who helped me with translation otherwise I wouldn't be able to check in. Need a staff at the property to support people.
