"Our room was very hot the first night. The air condition is not controlled in the room but rather generally by the staff. So you have no control over the a/c. It is a historic building. This being said the rooms are small and the street noise is incredibly loud. It felt like there was drag racing outside our room in the street all night. Literally could not sleep with all the noise outside."

"We only stayed one night but we enjoyed the breakfast. The omelet bar was excellent. Our only negative was the evening reception. The snacks were very minimal and nearly gone after the first 30 minutes. Options were potato chips, pretzels, Chex mix. Other than that, everything was great. Very friendly staff!!"

"Unfortunately, this property did not live up to expectations. The room was nice but there were too many surfaces that weren’t cleaned prior to check in. The bathroom sink was barely wiped. Desk and nightstands had a dusty film and the carpet was musty. The towels were the hardest I’ve ever experienced at ANY hotel. Hotel restaurant had very few options and the staff seemed to not want to be there. It took over 20 minutes to get coffee. It was self serve, I had to wait to pay. Real unimpressed...

"We had a very disappointing stay at 21c Museum Hotel St. Louis. The air conditioning in our room was not working at all, and the room phone was also not working. Because of this, I had to use my personal cell phone to call the front desk multiple times. After several calls, a technician came to the room, but he was not able to fix the AC, even after contacting the chief engineer. "The hotel is very dated and well used. We saw a lot of dirt. Don't expect amazing rooms. What this places offers is location -- easy access to transit line into the city and a shuttle for Cardinals home games. This makes it easy to stay and about half the cost for staying right next to the stadium. We paid for an arch view room and it did not disappoint on the view aspect."

"We booked 3 of the exact same rooms at this property for $280/night and when we check-in, they told us one of the room can only accommodate 2 instead of 3 people so we need to make it work among ourselves because there is nothing they can do. After we went up to our rooms, 2 of them had wet carpet and cleaning supplies still in them. We had to wait another 20-30 min for them to finish up everything but our feet got wet from the wet carpet. They just said it will dry eventually. Later at...

"We got up to our floor and our key didn’t work. Which normally is no big deal but it was VERY busy and one elevator wasn’t working. So to go down and get something and then wait 10 min for an elevator was a pain. Clean good breakfast. "

"Holes in the wall peeling paint. Permanent Merle scribbles all over the mirror. Tv doesn’t work. Asked for late check out at noon and staff was pouring on my door threatening to come in at 11. Furniture falling apart. Property smelled of cigars and smoke. Disgusting and filthy. Chunks of food on the floor in my “clean” room. Don’t stay here."
