"We have booked a family room. Room is big enough & spacious, clean with a balcony. Staffs are very polite & gentle, they are always ready to help. Food is excellent & taste or quality of food is great. The hotel is situated in a convenient area of Shimla. Overall a great experience to stay at The Orchid."

"The front desk was super gracious polite and helpful. They even gave free upgrade because bathroom of Scottish villa room wasn’t pristine clean. The property is very elegant for nature lover wanting peace and getaway from city crowd but still being inside the city. "

"It was very conveient to be able to walk to the hotel from the train station on arrival. The staff were exceptionally friendly and service oriented. I was pleased with the size and cleaniless of the room. Glad there was extra blankets as Shimla does get cold. Mornings i enjoyed having the breakfast options, paratha and chai and scrambled eggs got me going for the day!"

"hotel is very convinently situated near the government Lifts and Hotel has lifts which leads to The Mall Road .This hotel is however not good for people having disability and you have to climb steep stairs to reach the way to the Lobby /Reception.Newly renovated rooms in New Wing do not have any view."
