We paid in full and then decided to leave. That’s how bad this place was. Room smelt dank and not just musty dank…full on, I can’t stay here kinda dank, broken furniture …. Come on guys, that shelf needs to be dumped, dirty linens, fan making constant noise, healthy cockroaches,. $15 up charge to turn a/c on. No cold beer at the bar. We’ve had such a great experience in Nicaragua so far but this is definitely a reminder to check rooms before you pay. There is absolutely no ‘deluxe’ at this place

Not very nice

This hotel should remove Deluxe! We stays for some nights, the booking promised hot showers, but the shower was broken. The owner promised to send a plumber to fix it, the plumber came but didnt fix the hot water and promised to come back, but never did. The owner promised that he would return, but after calling and messaging for several days we were just ghosted. The water head was broken and down right dangerous and a shocking hazard. The hotel dries all their linen in the balcony so it looks cluttered all the time, and the breakfast was really boring to say the least. The linen was filled with holes, probably from cigarettes and the towels were filled with dirt spots! Additionally the pool was kind of cloudy, and the AC is 15 dollars per night which is double the price we have paid elsewhere. Recommend to book another place!

Hostel looks OK. Staff was friendly and helpful! Free breakfast was simple, but good.. The sign on the street does not say "los Octavianos", so even standing infront of the door, I had to knock and ask if it was the correct place. Room was tiny with an extra unwanted bed, leaving nearly zero floorspace. Linens hanging on railing outside room, loose boards on stairway, exposed wires in the shower!?! Google maps sent me in the opposite direction, apparently to the old location, so finding the place can be a challenge. Overall my short stay was good, but i will book somewhere else next time.

Name of the hostal is wrong they haven't change it, there is not portable fans like they said on the ad, fan is attached on the ceiling, dirty pool, they have dog and you see poo all over the floor and the electricity went off 3 times without rain.

I didn't stay at this place, they apparently have 2 different names, couldn't find it for a while, no one knew where it is, until finally someone told me the owner has 2 different names for the place, the name on the door is different than the one on the reservation. Its old and raggedy, no one speaks a word of English eventhough it states they do, they don't take CC eventhough they claim they do, and she wanted to charge me double what the reservation said. The place looks nothing like the pictures Scam alert

HIGHLY NOT-RECOMMENDED. They did not have someone to help us to check in, did not take any debit or credit cards, we needed to look for an ATM for cash. The place is complicated to find because they go by a different name, and that was the first red flag. The worst of everything was that when it started to rain, there was a leak right above the mid of the bed, we notified to one of the assistants and he told us that push the bed instead of giving us another room ( we were paying for the biggest room), plus the manager did not want to assist us , she sent another person instead. BAD, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, ROOM CONDITIONS AND MANAGEMEMT

Totale Katastrophe

Wir haben über die App reserviert, als wir in der Unterkunft ankamen, hatan uns jedoch gesagt, dass sie davon nichts wissen und das alle Zimmer belegt oder schon anderweitig reserviert sind. Ein Unding. Wir haben online unsere Kreditkartendaten angegeben gehabt und vor Ort versucht mit dem Service von "Hotels" Kontakt aufzunehmen, was jedoch nicht funktioniert hat, da dieser nur von 8-18 Uhr (deutscher Zeit) erreichbar ist. Vor dem Hostel stand ein Auto mit zerstochenen Reifen, von dem schon die Hälfte gefehlt oder zerstört wurde, was keinen guten ersten Eindruck vermittelt hat. Drinnen haben zwei junge Damen am Computer gesessen und via Headset mit dem Service von Netflix kommuniziert, statt nach unserer Reservierung zu gucken. Eine weitere Dame hat uns ein Buch mit Reservationen gezeigt, in welchem Sie notiert, wenn jemand per Telefon reserviert. Man wollte uns dann in der Eingengshalle für 9 Dollar pro Person in Dorms einquatieren, worauf wir verzichtet haben. Warum "Hotels" mit solchen Partnern zusammen arbeitet, kann ich mir nicht erklären, dass war unsere erste und letzte Buchen über diesen Anbieter. Nicht zu empfehlen!!!

Je ne recommande pas du tout !

La chambre n’était pas du tout comme sur les photos. L’odeur qui s’y dégageait était vraiment désagréable, la salle de bain était remplie d’eau au sol. Le ménage n’avait pas du être fait car nous avons retrouvé une chaussette dans la salle de bain, et deux petits sacs à main... L’hôtel n’a eu aucun entretien ni rafraîchissement donc il ne faut pas se fier aux photos. Seul point positif, la localisation, à deux rues de la place centrale.

I would say 6/10. Staff were very accommodating. Room as described. Beds and sheets a bit older , headboard could maybe fall on your head. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Air conditioner worked 95% of the time. Close to the center of town and restaurants. They arranged a night tour to the volcano for us $20. Booked through Expedia was supposed to come with free breakfast. I think I saw they cooked once the 3 days we were there, but it wasn’t anything we were interested in. Secure, behind locked gate with attendant within earshot. Went to boil water in the kitchen to make coffee, decided against it due to the kitchen being pretty dirty, pot/pans were pretty much ruined and all appliances hadn’t been wiped off in ages, so I just poured coffee in a water bottle and made some cold brew for the next days. Good place to sleep for fairly cheap with A/c, but no hot water like most places in Central America. Few things to improve on to earn that 5 stars

Friendly staff, but impossible to keep cool

My only complaint was that the room was always so much hotter than the outside temperature for some reason. Even with both fans going it was impossible to keep cool inside the room. That being said, the shared living area was very nice and the staff were extremely friendly. So unless you’re someone who really enjoys spending a lot of time in your room, you probably won’t have an issue here.

Excellent Breakfast!!!

It was excellent! They serve breakfast in the morning and since I'm vegan, they substituted the eggs with avocado. The gallo pinto (central american beans and fried rice) was fantastic! Overall it was a very good place to stay for the price, the room, and the location. Would highly recommend!

Experiência muito boa. Muito bom recebimento, quarto bastante acolhedor, pequeno almoço muito bem servido e saboroso e não poderia deixar de agradecer à simpatia do staff. Foram incríveis!

Nice comfortable quiet hotel close the lake area.

The hotel is very clean and is in a very quiet locatoon away from the noisy town center. The private rooms are very spacious with T.V , air conditioning and have clean bathrooms. Good value accommodation
