"We really enjoyed this concept. It is so fun and well executed.
Unfortunately didn't get pictures of the room itself, but the decor was so on point. A line drawing of Arthur Ashe, a big framed round mirror hanging by rope, a retro rotary phone on the desk. The colors were moody academia with a little nautical vibe. Lots of task lighting around the room with no harsh overhead added to the great vibe. TV, mini fridge, desk, couple chairs. Little fun touches in the bathroom (check out the accessory bags under the sink). Only negative thing I can say is the water pressure was a little low for my liking, but I can't even knock them for it bc it's so on brand for dorm showers 😂.
The room keys were student IDs of old school celebs.
The students working the front desk were great.
We didn't get a chance to try brekkie either day, but it runs late til 11am- another nod at college life.
The rooftop bar was a real treat. The view was amazing, and you could really get to see all 360 between the 2 spaces. They were hosting a private party for a wedding in one and saw in passing they had jello shots- yet another great touch for the concept. The cocktails were refined without being overly fussy.
The Espresso Martinis from the downstairs bar were fantasticly solid- enough to have several (coming from lifelong bartenders, this is high praise.) The bartender was amazing, sweet, helpful, and funny.
Valet only parking on premises for $31/nigunless you snag a streetside spot nearby."
