"Informed the hotel of our expected arrival time as requested. Arrived at around 11am and were told the room was ready....but check in was not until 2pm so if we wanted to check in we'd have to pay £50 early check in fee. I declined, left my luggage with reception and made my way in to the city centre. Then at 12 noon received a call from the hotel to say I could check in now if I wanted free of charge. "Excellent staff, helpful and super friendly. The hotel seems to be undergoing some upgrades (the tvs are a bit old, only basic channels not smart tvs and no mini fridge in the rooms) but very spacious rooms, updated bathrooms and comfortable bed. Great location, close but not too close to Piccadilly Station and near Piccadilly Gardens. Recommend this hotel."
