"A real work of art. Fabulously decorated with old and new regional and international art, posters, artistically painted literary quotations. As an old organizational lodge, it has some quirks which we loved. We had a private bath but next time we'll save a few bucks with the shared bath option, using the lusurious provided robes, also perfect for the hot soak pool ofuro (you can cool off in the hallway shower). Then I strolled down the second floor hallway with a mug of brewed coffee from the lobby, reading an extensive quote from either Joyce's Ulysses or "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" never losing my step or spilling coffee. A significantly transcendent experience. Not to scare anyone off, but it was the perfect combination of Hogwarts meets The Shining, if you know shat I mean.
