"I had a great time on my birthday and anniversary. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Only had an issue with the ventilation , it was really dusty. Make sure all cleaners always clean that area and it should always be double check by someone else.. mouth was dry during night stay. Apart from the that great hotel. Will go back again "

"A true gem of a hotel in York. Easily walkable to centre.
Hotel and rooms spotlessly clean. Tasty, hot breakfast with plenty choice. Comfortable rooms but a little too hot. Good parking area at rear of hotel.
Staff very pleasant and could not be more helpful. Special shout out to Gemma and Stuart who were both excellent.
Would definitely stay here again. 5 stars all round. "

"Pleasant stay in a unique setting with picturesque grounds. Room was clean and warm and bathroom a good size. Breakfast was nice and had plenty of options. Tea and coffee were available all the time in the lounge rooms. "

"Cant beat the location. Just next to York Minster and tons of restaurants. Walking distance to the Shambles and almost everything. The only issue that actually makes our stay not comfortable is that the hotel does not have Air conditioner. We were there during heat wave and this make the stay in the room really unbearable. The temperature in the room was so much higher than the outside. The staff was nice and try to give us 2 fans and a bucket of ice. Still felt very hot. The breakfast was set...
