"There were many issues with check in and overall the staff was not friendly or helpful. I understand that a hotel has the right to wait to check people in until the arrival time on the reservation, no problem there I was fine when I showed up at 3:45 and they said I had to wait till 4. However, there was a very long line of us who were told, at 4:00 check in time, that we had to wait for at least an hour as our rooms were not ready. I was one of the first to check in so having no rooms ready by that time is poor management. Also, I was told they would contact me when the room was ready. I received no communication. Then when I did finally receive my key… I entered my room only to find someone else was already in my room. Walking in on another guest due to front desk negligence was embarrassing and also unacceptable. Staff did not even apologize. Still waiting to hear from management who also was not available both times I went to the desk. Needless to say I won’t be returning to this hotel."

"Wouldn’t recommend. There was a very strong smell - the bathroom was very beat up and not enough towels for a comfortable stay. "

"The room was clean and the staff was friendly but this was the loudest hotel I have ever stayed in. There were doors slamming, couples fighting in the parking lot outside our window, and people yelling in the lobby until about 4AM. Bring noise cancelling headphones if you decide to stay here."

"My bathroom smelled like an open sewer, was told that someone would check it Saturday morning. That didn't happen, when we returned back after concert Saturday night the smell was just as bad. The front desk, valet and bar/restaurant staff were very nice and friendly. Maybe IHG members should have access to the shuttle for trips to downtown stadium areas also."

"Wonderful expat the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Cleveland! The facility was clean, restaurant was delicious and reasonable and the staff were friendly and accommodating! I would stay there again without hesitation if I venture back to Cleveland"
