"Great position for sight-seeing (esp. as close to Grand Central. Clean, large enough room with everything we needed. Very comfy bed and quiet enough room. The best thing was the coffee, cans and snacks that were available 24/7 in The Reading Room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend."

"The hotel was very clean but several items in the room and throughout the hotel needed repair and maintenance. There were lots of dings and chips out of doors, baseboards, furniture etc. there was a lot of peeling wallpaper. Not a big deal if those things don’t bother you, and the cleanliness makes up for much of it. We didn’t receive the friendly support from staff that others mention. "Great location in midtown. Room was spacious and clean daily. Pleasant and Helpful staff The hotel offers luggage store after checkout free of charge. Also there is no breakfast at the hotel, they do offer every morning coffee and tea with a muffin. Be a were that the windows are not sound proof and the park and street can be quite noisy."

"Small, expensive and spartan room in midtown east with lots of street noise. No amenities other than a water cooler at the end of the hall (paper cups). No key-they text you a six digit code for the room and front door, a touchelss/phone based option would be nice. . No desk in room, no art on the walls, no clock, full size bed and a concrete floor. The shower doesn't have a full door so the floor gets wet. Nice staff and convenient location but nearby Hyatt is a better bang for the buck."

"The room was clean with a good sized bathroom. The view from the Empire view room is well worth the upgrade and the rooftop bar is even better. Great for couples and close to many attractions."

"Great location, good value for what you receive, the staff aims to please and although we had a couple of issues, they always helped to remedy. The best part is staying in a historic hotel. They offer complementary breakfast vouchers for those who may feel that this is important."
