Lots of dance-floor space with no furniture. The was very little space for any clothing for anyone that likes to unpack and not live out of their suitcase for a week. "My stay at the Holiday Inn on Williamson Road in Roanoke, VA was excellent from start to finish. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy, making the entire experience stress-free. The staff went above and beyond by checking in with us daily to make sure we had everything we needed. I also appreciated the added security. "The room smelled of cigarettes although its supposed to be non-smoking. The towels were kids size. The staff is rude. Night clerk was unfriendly and the breakfast attendant is rude and non-personal. She did not want to let me sit with my wife because they closed breakfast although my wife was inside. I didn't want to eat just sit with her and that came with plenty of attitude. The breakfast area was a mess. Would not recommend."

"No mention of the hotel being under construction on Expedia. We had no pool, no gym, no restaurant, no lobby our entire visit. Let’s not mention the fire code of the smoke detectors all being covered on the ground level. Horrible experience."

I reviewed the other room and I received feedback from Hampton basically saying I lied or that was my interpretation. I stated my room smelled like a wet dog and that there had been a spider in the bathroom. Thier response was they checked my room and they didn't see a spider and the room smelled fine to them. Well of course I killed the spider. I didn't say it was infested. The room does smell however. ...

"I am not one to complain but I feel that I have to make others aware of the issues we had at this hotel. The air conditioner did not cool the room, the refrigerator was rusty inside and iced over and the toilet would not flush in our initial room. We moved to the room next door. The air conditioner did work. The toilet flushed but rocked because it was not secured to the floor."
