The owners were perfect hosts and the hotel and gardens are a calming oasis in the middle of town. We will try to visit Ghent again in a quieter time and will definitely head for the B&B The Verhaegen. "

"A lovely old house with excellent bedrooms and kitchen area. The little private garden at the rear was very pleasant to sit in. Polo is a very helpful host. There are a lot of roadworks going on in the area but further into the old town are all the great sights and restaurants. "

"A small private B&B -5 rooms , well appointed with chic decor . This hotel is convenient to Gent St Peter’s station in a nice area . My room had a large double bath , high ceilings and a comfy bed - breakfast was a very nice buffet style with fresh ingredients and a friendly service .
