"Gorgeous view and location. Was unaware that the restaurant was closed due to flooding which was inconvenient as when we booked it said that the restaurant was still operational. Everything was a bit run down but clean and smelled great. Shower appeared to be a bit dirty around the edges and sink took a while to drain and toilet didn't flush well. The resort manager Clare was lovely. Loved the glow worms. Would've been nice to know that the restaurant and a huge majority of the bar area is...

"This was my second stay at The Com Plex in Whakatāne, and once again it was an excellent experience. The accommodation is consistently clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, making it an easy choice when visiting the area.
The staff were fantastic and went above and beyond to accommodate our late check-in at very short notice, which was greatly appreciated. Their friendly and helpful service really made a difference.

"The partial view from unit 1 could only be seen if you stood in the right position outside on the balcony and then you could just see some ocean. The apartment had all the facilities, however it is getting a little dated and in need of maintenance. The fans had dust on top and the bedroom fan control knob was broken and difficult to turn without it."
