McHenry hotel guide. Independent hotel in McHenry, Mississippi

"First night of the stay we notified the front desk of a water leak in the bathroom. We were told they couldn’t move us because it was after check-in time and there was nothing that could be done because maintenance was gone for the day. The next day maintenance never came check the leak, we notified the manager and he told us he wouldn’t be able to move us til the morning. Fast forward to the next day, maintenance came to check the leak and tried to fix it but ended up making it worse. We were once again told we couldn’t change rooms because it was after check-in. The manager told me he would apply a discount for the inconvenience. We left early and when I asked about the discount he said it wasn’t up to him. Horrible experience will not stay there again. "

"Parking was easy and secure with cameras. Loved that it was pets stay free. Doors and bathtub could use some cleaning. "

"Would advise to look elsewhere room was dirty hotel was dirty. Staff are great just need some help on funds to clean hotel. Paint needed, maintenance needed such as a plumbing and electrical. I really don’t like to leave a not good review but this is my truthful opinion. I have paid less for two times better stays in older hotels. "
