GOOD:
The night desk clerk was friendly and helpful. When the thermostat in our room would only go higher and got stuck at 80 degrees, she came to the room immediately to help. She determined that we needed to change rooms, so, while we re-packed, she returned to the desk and brought us our new keycards.
The rooms had more power outlets than I've seen in newer hotels! Great touch for our electronic addicted travelers.
BAD:
The door to the outside in the stairwell would not close and lock without being pulled closed fully. Without an inner handle, pulling the door closed was difficult. Most guests will assume the door will close on it's own and leave this exterior door unlocked.
The chain lock on our door was installed backward. Simply rattling the door will dislodge the chain.
The hallway to our first room was hot and smelled strongly of cooking. The food smelled very good! But not what one expects in a decent hotel at 11pm.
Both rooms appeared to be spot cleaned - easy to reach surfaces were cleaned off, but under the faucet handles, the corners of the bathroom floors, the shower tracks, and the shelf above the clothes hanging rack were dirty.
There were hairs in the shower in our first room and there was a pile of broken glass in the corner of the bathroom in our second room.
The outlet beside the sink didn't work.
The dining room was dirty with food scattered on the counters and floors and coffee rings on the tables.
