"Sold itself as a 5 star resort but it was old and tired. Indoor pool and gymnasium were in terrible condition. Outdoor pool was closed at 6pm every day, which made it impossible to use after a hot day of sightseeing. The room was okay but didn't meet the standard we expected."

"Unfortunately, our experience at Venus Beach Hotel was very disappointing. Room: The room was dirty, and the bathroom was not properly cleaned. The mirrors and sinks were never cleaned, they often forgot to leave towels, and the trash was not taken out. We complained and asked them to clean the room, but it was still just as dirty afterward. Apparently, they thought adding more soap would solve the problem. In the end, they simply left the sheets on the bed for us to make the bed...

The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and spoke excellent English, which made everything easy from check-in to check-out. "The view was amazing, I booked a garden view and was given a view of the sea, pool and mountains further away. The area was quiet and a short distance to the beach where there are lots of surfers.
