My apartment was really grim.
I arrived to find that other than putting out fresh bedding and towels the place had not been cleaned. The floor and worn carpet were covered in debris and tiny silver stars (someone must have had a party there before leaving), the shower had hairs in it, the microwave was disgusting, and surfaces were unwiped. I complained via email and housekeeping did a cursory clean the next day, but clearly nothing had been moved as there were still silver stars and debris on the floor.
This place is in dire need of a deep clean and looks nothing like the photos on the website. I could not face using the kitchen and was out of the apartment as much as possible.
The swimming pool looks amazing in the photos on Expedia. In truth it was dirty and unused.
As an added bonus there is little to no soundproofing and noise can be heard throughout the night - waste trucks, noise from restaurants and bars, drilling…. We had to buy earplugs on our second day.
Finally check-in was really hard. I received no email as you are meant to 24 hours prior to arrival. Apparently despite never having had issues before my email address was not passed to them by Expedia. Reception were very helpful when I emailed them, but surely even the act of arriving at your hotel should not cause stress?
I have written to the manager at the hotel and sent photographs of the state of the apartment, but have received no reply.
