"The hotel and the room was really nice and fully equipped. We did a late night swim in the pool one night and had it to ourselves. We even had dinner at the hotel another night and the food was SUPER good!! I also appreciate the water bottle fill up station off the lobby. Plus it is in a lovely, quiet area with lots of green and there’s a good mix of local and chain eateries nearby to choose from!
There were just a couple downsides/mishaps:
1a. If you are looking to get a King bed i would suggest booking directly through the Hilton website because there is miscommunication between hotels.com and hilton and hotels.com had the wrong count of available rooms, so they oversold the King rooms to a bunch of people. We found this out after we got to our room and saw it was a double queen and then talked to a staff member at the check in desk. We were not able to upgrade our room.
1b. AND because we ended up in the wrong room, our room was next to the elevators so i heard people coming and going at all hours of the night/morning so i didn’t get a lot of sleep.
2. Maybe it was because it was a week night, but the “restaurant” was low staffed. There was ONE person running the bar AND taking/running food orders. It wasn’t their fault, they were doing the best they could given the circumstances, but it wasn’t fair to them. There should be more staff on no matter the day of the week.
Despite the issues we had, we still enjoyed ourselves and i would try staying here again."
