"This is a rather basic hotel at a freeway stop, but it works for a place to stay for a night. It would help if there were a way to get to the hotel not by the freeway, where there is a toll."

Unfortunately our room did not have a mini refrigerator which is unusual for a 4 star hotel and when I booked I thought all the rooms came with one but I was informed not ours, which was very inconvenient. "This is a gorgeous house and setting for exploring the Loire. Dining area is beautifully appointed - windows to the Loire and decorated in an elegant and creative way. In particular they have cleverly designed the lighting to look like small hot air balloons and placed fabric wall coverings to absorb sound. The overall effect is intimate, sophisticated and welcoming. The new restaurant for evening dining was excellent and a wonderful way to end the day! James graciously offered to drive us...

"Room temperature control was questionable. Coffee machine in the lobby never returned the change as posted and systematically overcharged. Expedia site does not list proper front desk hours, breakfast price, etc. and needs an update!"

"Comfortable beds and rooms. Looks like everything was recently renovated. Breakfast was well done with a surprising amount of choices, and the breakfast room was pretty. Just a couple minutes from the chateau and easy parking. "
