Shannon rented the Cottage a separate building circa 1840 that has a bedroom with a king size bed, a living room with a futon couch, a dining area, a kitchen and a bathroom. I literally just checked the comforter and it is clean; I cannot address the mold smell since we see no evidence of mold anywhere. I did not witness the "host's" cleaning or linens but I take it from the criticism that the room was not ready when they came and for that I apologize as well as for any discomfort felt by her mother. If she had simply told us the circumstances, we would have been only too glad to move her to the Chick Suite in the Chicken Coop that is of 2016, not 1840 vintage. We have been focusing on cleanliness and readiness and trust we'll be doing a lot better, even as many have been very laudatory of their stay, including a couple who stayed with us for two nights in the 1805 Iris Room overlapping with your non-stay.
