"Lovely hotel but our room wasn’t cleaned properly, could have done with a good freshen up , however we did see painters in so probably in process of freshening up rooms, bed was very comfortable but could have done with new pillows as they were a bit flat, Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Food was very good huge portions, freshly cooked and reasonably priced."

"Disappointed not to have a twin room that I specifically requested at time of booking as was travelling with my grown up son. Was told 100% full on arrival (nearly midnight) but that there was a sofa bed in room. Got in there and that wasn’t made up and didn’t look fit to take a 6ft man or be comfortable to sleep in with my bad back. Eventually got a call saying a twin could be cleaned & made available- why that wasn’t the case in the first place I don’t know. The carpet near the bathroom was damp underfoot-think the ill fitting shower door allowed water from a previous occupant to leak out."

"Rooms were dirty! Stains all over the carpet. Dead flies all over the windowsill. Locks broken on the windows so couldn’t be opened or closed, just constantly ajar and in a windy area so just a constant whistle. When ordering food starters and mains came together, and the waitress then said you need to tell them when ordering that you wants starters first….. I mean isn’t that the point?!"

"Very noisy, not a great ideas to put me on a. Corridor which had a hen party. Woken up constantly. People unreasonably loud in corridor. Check in was unfriendly but check out lady was lovely. Would definitely not stay again "

"My friend and I had a girlie two night break at this hotel and loved it. When we arrived the receptionist noticed I was using a walking aid and unprompted started looking to change our room to an accessible room eliminating needing to use stairs. We were very touched by his thoughtfulness. It was an upgrade to a suite which was outstanding and it really enhanced our comfort and experience. We had a sitting room (with verandah) which was very comfortable and well equipped with a coffee maker, selection of high quality teas. There was a large bathroom and a super king size bed. Breakfast was nice, not outstanding but nice. The swimming pool was the big treat. Beautifully warm and the highlight of the stay. All the staff were very cheerful and friendly. This hotel is special and situated next to the Market Square which had lovely coffee shops, quaint shops and enticing pubs. Can’t wait to go back so thank you to all the staff especially Ali xxxxxx"
