Beautiful peaceful ryokan with the full Japanese experience. We loved both of the bookable bathhouses- great after a chilly day in the Deer Park. The kaiseki dinner in your own private adjoining dining room was beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were all very lovely. Highly recommend.

Perfect location, as it's very close to the train station as well as the deer park. The room had everything you needed and a very comfortable bed. The communal ktchen area was excellent and again has everything you could possibly need and also a lovely eating area. Everything was perfect. The host was also very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend staying here.

The location is excellent, right on the beach. The rooms are large and clean, very good condition and with a private bath. We also had a nice balcony to enjoy the wonderful sunset. The roof top baths are also very nice with a great view to the beach and surrounding area. We would have preferred the water temperature to be a bit hotter. The service is excellent and English was not a problem. The food was pretty good and overall a very relaxing stay and a very good value.

We had an absolutely amazing time staying here. The park is deserted at night and in the early morning, so you have the temples and shrines to yourself (they are not open at these times, but they're still very impressive from the outside). The Nigatsudo shrine was especially great at night, as the lanterns were all lit and it's up a hill, so you can see the city...it's beautiful! Most of the temples to see in Nara are in the park, so you really are right in the middle of it. There are also deer...

Great location for Nara main attractions. Easy to find restaurants, next to a market, short walk to Nara Park. The place is new, easy to find and easy to use in general. Few things could be improved. Check in instructions were sent in Japanese only and we needed some codes to access the place so it wasn’t straight forward. Towels were super small and the futon super thin you basically sleep on top of the carpet. We have stayed in plenty of futon and tatami hotels in our trip and this one was...

Booked this a a traditional Japanese experience for my family. Our host was lovely and very attentive giving us cold drinks and cold towels because it was so warm outside. There was a choice of Japanese or Western breakfast. Both were excellent, especially the Japanese which had fish, omelette, noodles and tea. Quiet area but restaurants nearby.
