The hotel needs a major refurb.
Our room on the 1st floor was dark, and very hot.
There looked to be a new ac system in the room but it didn’t work, so we had to open the window when we were in the room and all night, fortunately shutters made this secure.
The view was a tree which added to the darkness, plus one bulb not working.
The toilet blocked on the first day, where they called a plumber out.
They kindly gave us a kettle upon request but the cleaners took it away so we had to ask for another we then left a note for them the following day, then they replaced the kettle for no apparent reason.
You get 4 bottles of water which didn’t get replaced, not sure whether they were supposed to.
All the time in the room the water pipes rattle now I’m not talking a little sound but an almighty bang followed by the pipes shaking whenever someone uses water.
The safe wasn’t working either, but that was quickly resolved with new batteries.
The room was clean, and the reception staff polite but not overly friendly.
The hotel is in a good location, near the station and near to a good restaurant Giglio Rosso and a good bar Lux Bar with very friendly staff and reasonable prices.
We won’t be going back we prefer NYX hotel.
