"Nice, bright room at the top of the inn looking over the village street down to Hurlstone Point. Big, clean en-suite. Good full English breakfast, very friendly staff who wanted to be sure we were happy. The bar was lively in the evening with plenty of groups at the sofas, tables and bar-stools."
The Beach Hotel

"Overall, a lovely room with sea view, given that it was not expensive. The room was spacious with a high ceiling and a good shower, though this wasn't thermostatically controlled. There was a good tea/coffee selection. Everything worked in the bathroom. Staff were friendly and we were lucky to get into the hotel parking. A workman had left a drill bit on the bathroom basin and the bedside lights were not plugged in. There was no wardrobe, only 4 hangers on a rail. The bed frame was creaky and the mattress needed replacement, though for a one night stay we didn't mind. There was limited control over the heating in the room, which didn't come on well even when we turned it up. The included breakfast was good though there was no choice offered over what exactly you got in your full english breakfast."

"Another great stay in a lovely hotel. Very comfortable, clean and quiet bedroom, delicious bar food and breakfast, and as usual, very friendly staff. Bit disappointed to find no biscuits on the tea tray in the bedroom! Looking forward to our next stay when we come for Christmas again. We really hope the new owners don’t lose the character and warmth of this fabulous place."
