"Great location to historic town of Matthews. Older hotel, but well maintained and updated. Friendly staff especially Cheryl for breakfast service."

"It was quiet and clean, breakfast was what you would expect from a hotel. Staff was helpful. The only weird part we had was they cleaned our room between our first night and second night and never gave us new towels. Sadly we didn’t notice until the morning when we went to shower and didn’t have time to call down and wait."

"The elevator did not work the entire time we were there (5 days). After speaking with the elevator repairman, he said that the building was struck by lighting 2 years ago and the elevator has been off and on ever since. They don’t tell the guests that prior to checking in which is absurd. My mother in law could not go up the stairs so we had to switch to a first floor. "This is a great property. I didn't get an accessible room this time and probably chose wrong. The space to navigate the room with my adult son in an electric wheelchair was tight with 2 queens. Other than that, no complaints."
