"We stayed at the Days Inn in Rutland, Vermont, and overall it was a very basic experience — really just a place to sleep for the night and not much more. The complimentary breakfast was pretty terrible with very limited options and not much quality. The hotel advertises itself as updated, but it honestly didn’t feel that way. The beds were incredibly noisy — even just walking by them made the frames creak and clang loudly like a gong. It made it difficult to move around the room without waking everyone up. There were also a lot of kids running up and down the hallways making noise at all hours, so it definitely wasn’t the quietest stay. In the bathroom, the door barely closed because of the excessive layers of paint on it, and the shower leaked during use. They only provided one roll of very thin toilet paper, which felt cheap and inconvenient. Overall, this hotel is extremely basic. It worked as somewhere to lay your head for the night, but I wouldn’t expect much comfort or quality beyond that."

"I am a family travel blogger who stays in hotels frequently with my husband and two young daughters. This was the most disappointing hotel experience we have had. We booked this stay for Mother’s Day weekend and arrived expecting a comfortable, family-friendly experience. From the moment we arrived, the property appeared noticeably run-down compared to what was advertised online. When we entered the lobby, there was a sign at the front desk stating, “Helping another customer. Be right back.” We waited approximately 15 minutes with no staff member present before leaving to take our children elsewhere and returning later. Upon returning, the front desk informed us that although I had reserved a king room with a sleeper sofa, the reservation had been entered for only two guests. I explained that we were traveling with our young kids and expected the sleeper sofa to accommodate them. Rather than offering flexibility or assistance, we were told the only option was to purchase an additional adjoining room. What made this especially frustrating was that the hotel appeared nearly empty, with very few cars in the parking lot and clearly many available rooms. As a traveling family arriving on Mother’s Day weekend, the interaction felt unnecessarily rigid and financially motivated rather than customer-focused or accommodating. We no longer felt comfortable staying at the property and chose instead to leave. Because the reservation was made through Hotels.com we were not given a refund."

"Very quiet location secluded and peaceful. Location is not identified, no road sign or driveway entrance address. I booked within 3 days of check-in, instructions did not get emailed until after check in time, host did answer phone when called but email was received 30 minutes later. It's a unique place, space is good, lots of amenities to cook and eat. Two bathrooms. Two showers. Lots of hot water and strong water pressure. Most of the unit is updated and modern. However it's tired, worn and dirty. The sofa was covered in dog hair, not just a little bit. It was all over our socks, clothing and floating around. The bathroom shower needed cleaning, walls needed wiping, carpet on stairs all stained and dirty. It you are used to hotels this will disappoint you."

"I have stayed here before but this time we got upgraded due to the lift being out of order and my hubby is disabled so we got a suite on floor 3 the entrance floor. It was stunning either way a massive jacuzzi bath in the bedroom and a great sized bathroom with large shower. Also had a kitchen and living room with views over Killington. Lovely hotel would recommend."

"4 of us stayed in one room and it was extremely comfortable. Walls are really thin so you hear everything which is tough, but luckily both my kids zonked out from a long day of skiing. Owners were super nice and you’re not going to find a better location. Everything is within 5 min. Excellent stay, will come back."
