"Expedia let us make reservations several months ago for Super Bowl Weekend but did not coordinate with the owners of Newfound Lodge as the hotel was closed for the season. Expedia should not be making reservations for a hotel that is closed and also should let customers know that it wasn’t going to be open. I don’t blame Newfound Lodge but this needs to be fixed! "

"Expedia booked all rooms in Soco Tower which in my opinion is very old and needss updating. The halls and rooms smell of smoke. It definitely does something to your allergies , my Husband and I both had issues with stuffy and runny nose. We ended ip switching rooms because the bed had a huge dent in it and you could feel the springs in it. This was on the 2nd floor. We also could never get the temp adjusted so 1st night we froze because the bed barely had anything on it. They need better cable...

"This is not as pictured. The property is very dated and very rough. Pillows and beds were not comfortable and didn’t feel clean. The whole property is in bad need of a renovation. Bathroom is too small and shower head had mildew on it. "

"We had pool view and of course the pools closed this time of year. We went there strictly to ride motorcycles. Rooms were clean. Lady at the front desk was very nice. You let us check in early so we can unload all our bags that were on the motorcycles. But there is a beautiful river right behind it and they have a nice big fire pit that's covered. If it happens to be a little bit of inclimate weather. We didn't take advantage of that. Like I said we were there strictly for riding."

"We love a place with character, charm, and hospitality. Lloyd’s did not disappoint. The property is right on the river and we enjoyed winding down and relaxing on the porch and at the fire pit area. The room was cozy and rustic with the feel of an “old timey” cabin. We were there in February and the water took a very long time to get hot but it did eventually get to bathing temperature. Check in was smooth and Elizabeth is very knowledgeable and available on the property. Location is convenient...
