"An outstanding hotel. The only one to stay in when in Valparaiso. Hotel is charming as it’s in a palace. It’s been beautifully retrofitted to meet travelers’ expectations. We had a very generously proportioned room with a charming view of the city. The spa, especially the Japanese-style hot tub was a very welcome treat after climbing the many city staircases! The breakfasts were outstanding with a great choice of offerings including eggs, bacon, cereals , homemade jams, jellies, breads,...

"This was the best place I could have chosen for my week long visit to Valparaiso! Set atop a small hill a mile south of Sotomayor Square the guest house is in a more quiet neighborhood. This area is convenient for visiting the UNESCO areas, but much more peaceful and safe for walking around. The room (I chose #3) had a view of the garden/ courtyard and was always cool and comfortable even in the hot weather. "We loved Casa Blu. The architecture, the history, the staff , both parlors and roof top lounges. We had a few bottle of wine in the late afternoon with the ocean view across. The breakfast so fresh and plentiful; and the Colina Alegre location and neighborhood. They accommodated for a very early breakfast at 3am. Thanks Rodrigo and everyone. Wish we come back again."
