"Every meal was absolutely delicious - dining by the fireplace was incredible after a snowy drive up the mountain. The proximity to the General Sherman tree and trail was ideal. The only problem we encountered was a lack of elevator which was challenging with our luggage. Overall amazing hotel!"

"Out stay was very enjoyable. However, the one item I would say kept this review from being 5 stars would be the fact that there are no comfortable chairs in the rooms and the mattresses could use replacing. All in all, it was a nice place to stay but there were also limited options. There is only one place to eat and the ordering process was automated and didn't work half the time. They also kept running out of things. I won't discourage anyone from staying here - the staff was great and the lobby had comfortable chairs to sit in. Perfectly located to see all the local places."

"The place was a quiet, relaxing place with trails to walk. The only disappointment was the pond was unusable- the deck was unsafe to use."

"The coffee maker didn’t work. The listing said it was a king bed with premium mountain view. The room was two queen beds and there wasn’t much of a view. Small tiny window and lots of trees in the yard. We loved the location and the seclusion. It wasn’t anything fancy but we just needed a place to stay and wash up so it was good. "
