"We recently stayed at Quinta de la Rosa for three nights, having started our holiday in Porto. We took the train from Porto, which is a lovely way to enjoy the Douro Valley. On arrival we were able to get a taxi from outside the station and 10 minutes later were at the Quinta. Descriptions suggest this is not a hotel but rather a rustic retreat but it is carefully curated and standards are pretty high. Our suite overlooked the river and was very comfortable and quiet.
