"Funky hotel with friendly helpful staff. The location is great, on cruise port edge of Waterfront. Our room was quiet and comfortable, after initial problems with the air con which were quickly fixed. Breakfast very good and 24 hour access to water taps. "

"We had a wonderful stay at The Taj. The location was perfect, right in the heart of town, which made exploring so easy. The hotel was beautiful and the service was excellent throughout our visit. I made use of the spa and truly enjoyed the treatment, which was deeply relaxing and a real highlight. A lovely touch was the friendship bracelets on arrival. I still have mine and it is such a special reminder of our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Room was cool, large and well kept by staff. There are some spots that could use some love but that's true for most hotel rooms. Location was good to walk through Foreshore and City Center as well as back from spots like Bo Kaap. Would not recommend walking to that area unless you are an uphill specialist. Getting a taxi was easy for the spots we couldn't walk to easily and it was maybe twenty minutes from the airport with minimal traffic. I could see it being longer during a football match...
