"Room was clean, check in was smooth, the hotel pictures on Expedia did not reflect the condition of the hotel. The hotel was worn down The location was close to the train station which was a bonus but the area was not good for walking or eating choices The hotels near the river were in better locations and the food choices were much better. "I had an unpleasant experience at breakfast. Other guests were asked if they wanted coffee or tea, but no one asked me anything. Even when I asked for coffee myself, it never came. Guests who arrived after me got their coffee right away. I had to ask several times before mine finally came.
There were no small plates left, the breakfast room was quite small, and my omelette order never arrived in the end."

"I think the brand has taken it too far with the whole environmental slant. It's funky to the point of being slightly ridiculous. I was in Lyon in late November and the heat couldn't be turned up above 19.5 C - and there is some corny message by the thermostat about conserving energy (it's not conserving the energy that's corny but the message was). The ceiling is black rough surface. Still gives me the heebie-jeebies (I shouldn't have looked up, lol). But the room and bed were relatively clean....
