I was checked into the garden side of the resort upon arrival, which honestly felt like an abandoned section of the property. The bathrooms were outdated and in very poor condition & covered in mold and felt extremely unhygienic. The bedsheets were dirty, with visible stains, bugs, and insect shells. AC was also not working.
I asked to get moved to a different room. Staff attempted to move me to several diff rooms, but they were all in similar condition. I waited over 2hrs before being placed in a somewhat better room (bedding wise). I was told that management would relocate me the following morning once other guests checked out on the other side of the resort. The next day, i was moved to a beach-view room, but unfortunately,the bathroom conditions wasnt any better. It just had a newer sink.
Room service came in while i was sleeping. Which shocked me, bc I’ve never had that happen to me. Like why?
BTW, None of the elevators were working. If you’re traveling with children, elderly, someone with a disability, or heavy luggage, be prepared to use the stairs at all times.
Overall, this was one of the worst experience I’ve had. When I asked about leaving that same night, I was informed there were no refunds. I ended up spending as little time in the room as possible each day. There was nothing luxurious about this resort, it felt empty and lifeless, almost like a ghost town, especially compared to the nearby beachfront hotels. I would not choose to stay here again.
