Have stayed here on a few occassions and love the quiet, calm surroundings The hotel is situated in the old town and as such ‘new’ structures cannot be built, so everything must fit into existing. This hotel does a great job of that and provides a calm, quiet, comfortable and pleasant stay. It is one of my favourite places in all of Greece to enjoy breakfast, you leave feeling relaxed and content.

Very unique place to stay. Be warned the hotel is not accessible by car. In fact parking is at mainland and you need to walk with your luggage on the road/bridge up to castle area. Once at castle entrance you need your hire someone to get your bags to your hotel as walks are steep, stairs, cobblestones. Other than that a very unique experience to stay here.

Wonderful spot!!! Very nice room, great breakfast! Highly recommend packing into a backpack or duffel bag. You do not want to pull a roller bag down the cobble streets.

Overall the stay was pleasant and the room was very unique and cool. The room was smaller and not the same as the picture as advertised. The bathroom was nice but the shower head broke when the shower started and I had to put it back together. It also couldn't stay on the holder since that was broken too. The air conditioner and wooden shutters were amazing.

My stay at the hotel Likinia was fine. It’s basically at the far end of the fortress town where it’s nice and quiet. Beautiful sea view and a walkway that takes you down to the sea so you can go for a swim at any time of day without venturing too far from your room. The room was clean but it felt dated. I feel they can attain that old world charm with a contemporary choice of furnishings and amenities. Bathroom was far too small for room size. I also felt the breakfast could have offered a few more choices. If you crave a quiet location, this would be a good choice. Staff were lovely and helpful.

This is a one of a kind stay! If you are visiting monemvasia, you should be sure to stay on the island inside the fortress. We loved our time here! Great hiking up to the church on top of the hill, beautiful views, such a unique little community. We loved our stay!

Great hotel near the central town where many of the shops and restaurants are located. The hotel serves a nice little breakfast buffet to start your day. Voula, the proprietor of the hotel is just delightful.

I was a little stressed about the no on-site parking, and that is a big challenge, but it's not a fault of the hotel. I suggest dropping your stuff off up as far as your car can go (hopefully you have someone to stay with it) then walking the 300 m or so to the hotel. You can pay them to do this but it's really just some ups and downs, so just wear footwear that isn't too slippery, arrive early (apparently last check in is at 8:30 pm but they accommodated us at 10:30 pm - but be sure to have a cell flash light to get there if you arrive after sundown as the last 50 m is in the dark otherwise). Otherwise, the rooms are beautiful with great AC and it's on the furthest east side of the castle so you will have access to amazing sunrises in the morning. The breakfast is home cooked and made with love. We had a great time and really enjoyed the location.

Unik perle

Et rigtig dejligt sted. Vi havde værelse m/terrasse og havudsigt og nød opholdet i fulde drag i et par dage. Der var helt stille, og alligevel var der kun et par minutters gang fra alle caféer og restauranter. Monemvasia er helt unik og virkelig værd at besøge.
