Mikey and the fine team were wonderful hosts and the amplified beauty of the Petrino guest house. We highly recommend it as you overlook the bay. Besides your a stone throw away from the Medieval Castle.

You pay for the view, nothing else
Not a great experience. The situation and the view from the balcony are amazing. That’s it. Rooms are dark, not well fitted, bathroom are old and rusty, beds are inconfortable. We’ll never choose this place again. I guess you pay the situation not the room
A special little gem. This family run property sits on a small bay across from Monavasia. You can easily walk over from the hotel. The room has everything you need. This isn’t a luxury spot, but well appointed. The newly renovated bathroom had shower gel, hand soap, and shampoo. There are bath and hand towels available. There is a blowdryer in the room, along with a frig. There’s a wardrobe from hanging items. My partner and I were here for just one night and found it just right for what we needed. There’s a stunning view of Monavasia, even though you can’t see the village, you see the rock. The owner is super sweet and accommodated our late arrival from Athens. There are tavernas just steps from the property all along the water. There’s ample street parking across from the property. Great for a quick overnight!

The view is amazing, the A/C works well and the guesthouse is well situated (you can walk to many restaurants in 1-5 min and to the old town in 25-30 min). However, it is an old building and the rooms have not been taken care of for a while. We had smelly water coming out of the bathroom drain for our whole stay, so it was smelling bad in the room and the bathroom floor was covered in water (we had to walk on the wet floor to go to the bathroom).
This hotel need many hard work of renovation. Door of the bathroom rated by humidity
But the manager is ok.
There is many 3* more comfortable around the city.
Great stay - family running the hotel was very friendly. Very convenient location with good restaurants within meters of the hotel + a short walk to the Monemvasia old town. Parking was across the street from hotel (easy + free parking).
Perfect location, charming guesthouse, excellent staff, comfortable room. Walking distance to everything you need. Great view of Monemvasia. Hope to return someday.

Great view and very good location, simple room
The view from the hotel is awesome, and the location is perfect. Our room was large and had a balcony, but was quite simple. Perfectly fine for one night, especially at the price we paid.
This guesthouse is in terrible condition. It desperately needs some kind of renovation. Everything is tired from the walls, plumbing, doors and furniture. The air conditioning drains in the shower and seems disgusting! Nobody asked us about our stay and opinion.
This guesthouse is across the road from water, with a beautiful view of Monemvasia. The room was comfortable and very clean and within walking distance of everything. We enjoyed walking to the castle and exploring all the shops and also enjoyed Gefyra and all of the shops there, including the best bakery I've ever been to. We had to study our Greek phrase book so that we could tell them how amazing their spinach pies and breakfast items were. We shopped for fruits and vegetables for our driving trip and had good experiences with everyone we met.
Petrino Guesthouse was a perfect place to stay for our explorations and we were sorry to not have been able to stay longer.
In addition to a kind and attentive host, Petrino was comfortable, clean, quiet, convenient and air-conditioned, who could ask for more?

Property is rather dated but for price paid it was value for money.
Lovely view from deck.
Bathroom could have been cleaner. Looked like a build up of mould in corners.
Shower had no rail so had to hold rose in one hand and wash one hsnded.
Could feel bed springs.
The hotel provides basic amenities with somewhat aged furniture. Staff were very polite and courteous. Extremely nice balcony views of the sea, the beach, the rock and the castle.

After making the reservation, they phoned to advise they couldn't actually offer the room despite the confirmation. I appreciated that the call was quite prompt and polite
