Room was clean and updated. Pool permanently Closed. Breakfast was poor. No waffle mix. Had to go to McDonald' for breakfast. Staff was excellent.

Easy to find, very clean, easy to get in and out of the building with the room key, nice dining area. Under construction while there so pool was closed but small. Room was clean, great water pressure. I did not do the breakfast - some fruit, a warmer with a few options, make your own waffle area and just regular creamer, so no coffee for me, and juice options but it's not allowed to go to your room. Unfortunately the beds were very hard and uncomfortable and almost none of the outlets worked properly. I would not stay again unless those things are corrected, but otherwise it was great and the staff was friendly.

Don’t recommend. Bathroom was nasty. Had pubic hair on the side of tub. Toilet wouldn’t flush. Bed was hard as a brick. Room smelled old and mildew.

We were in town for a funeral and opted to stay at this location as choices are limited. We stayed here in the past and the previous management/owners did a decent job of keeping an older hotel neat and clean. The current owners/management do absolutely nothing to clean or maintain the property. The property is outdated and dirty. The carpet in our room used to be beige with red stripes, it is now dirty brown and black with spots. The linen was dingy and stained. Other family members stated that they did not even have a shower curtain in the bathroom. We had to clean the shower before using and still wore shower shoes! The water in the pool looks like a lagoon. To make matters worse, the new owners are aggressively rude and disrespectful.

The bed was hard as a board not sure if it was a box spring or a mattress, the bedding had holes and was of inferior quality to say the least, I was afraid to use the bath tub/shower for fear that I would come out dirtier than before I used it. The tv setup was different having to use 2 remote controls to navigate it. But the staff was very friendly.

Very disappointed with my stay at Americas Best Inn in Bastrop. My room had rust around the sink and bathtub drains, buildup on the shower head, and hair left in the tub. The front desk showed me four other rooms, but every one had the same issues. This wasn’t a one-room problem—it appeared to be a property-wide cleanliness and maintenance issue. Guests deserve better.

My stay wasn’t great day one the AC didn’t work so they put me in another room then that room the T.V didn’t work . The next day the water stop working so no shower that day woke up the next morning to running water but no hot water so cold shower to start my day and that was my last day there

I was assigned a room after check in and it was dirty. I took pictures and went back to the desk to address the issue. After being assigned another room, it too was dirty. I asked the staff to come and that there was water on the bathroom floor. He had to get a mop to clean up. I asked to show me a room that was clean but was told that there was one available to accommodate my 3-night stay. I requested a refund and checked out. I won’t stay there again, even though I’d done so several times over the past years.
