"Everything is good except there is no air conditioning in the room , it’s a little too hot. We checked out at the early morning, they opened the breakfast at 7:00, we cannot have any food at the morning. Hopefully they could offer a breakfast bag for those people who have to leave early."

"Excellent hotel in walking distance to La Candelaria and other attractions. The pool, sauna and gym are great, the staff are all very helpful, and the breakfast changes daily. Bring ear plugs, noise from the hall can come into the room and there are some distant roosters. We would stay here again."

However of all the stated VIP Gold benefits with Expedia, our free drink was a bottle water, no room upgrade and late departure would have required payment. And in the morning we were unable to get a coffee anywhere other than as part of the breakfast buffet. And even then, the only coffee was from an old style Bunn commerial drip machine. "Virrey Central is a surprising hotel. It is only a short walk to the Museo del Oro and the Plaza. My room was basic but practical and very quiet. Everything is very clean and tidy and the staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent. "
