"My wife and I stayed just one night at the Kings Arms and had an excellent meal and breakfast. Our room was clean and tidy and the en-suite was fine, albeit a little cramped. We had ground floor room 5 and, as is our normal custom, went to bed just before 10:00pm. We then suffered a great deal of noise outside our bedroom windows; singing, shouting and swearing, all coming from the sheltered area just a few metres away. "The Crossways is an updated building. Regrettably there is no lift and a narrow staircase which makes taking heavy cases upstairs difficult. We had a problem with our room but what makes me give this hotel a 5 star rating was their service recovery was brilliant. The team are very friendly and my Venison Pie for dinner was excellent. "Lovely stay breakfast was delicious and staff very attentive. Room was modern but had a few cosmetic issues such as tape on laminate flooring and a shower screen that didn't stop the water from pouring out. It didn’t affect our stay but from a glance minor repairs could be made. Would still happily book again as location and breakfast alone was well worth it "
