"This is basically an upscale version of camping (IE, you're not in a tent, you have a private bathroom, and a real roof over your head). The different lodges vary in terms of wear and tear, which initially put us off, but very quickly the charm of the location, the value (1/2 what anything else was), and simply accepting the 'we're at camp' vibe made it one of our favorite stays. Now we want to come back with our extended family!"

"I stay at a lot of hotels with lots of amenities this place has it all we went out for three days had breakfast lunch and dinner everywhere let’s just say the food here is better than the whole area. The service is impeccable. Staff are amazing. Everything was perfect. definitely will come here more often."

"Nice clean hotel. Great location to everything in Monterey and Pacific grove. Staff was great. Microwave was toast and the housekeeper carried a new one up stairs 10min after i told her. Yes i carried the old one down for her...(: Wish they had a few breakfast items besides coffee but no big deal for the price of the rooms."
