A wonderful little cozy hotel with a charming cabin-style feel. The atmosphere was warm, peaceful, and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Hotel Belmar is a food and drink destination as well as being well located for enjoying all Monteverde has to offer. The staff present honest enthusiasm for all the hotel has to offer, and are welcoming and helpful. They can easily arrange taxis for you to any of the local sights (as uber doesn’t operate here). The restaurant is fantastic as well as the craft brewery and their fermented fruit wines. This was one of my favourite experiences ever.

This is a beautiful working farm set in the Cloud Forest with stunning views and a serene property. We had some of the best food on our trip here. Fresh, farm to table food, including the complimentary breakfast which was phenomenal, and the best coffee. Great location for adventuring around the area. Comfortable beds and rooms. Loved the on site brewery and restaurants, as well as the games available at the front desk for entertainment for the kids. The provided toiletries smells SO good. Only thing to note is it can be quite loud and there are no blackout curtains in the room. You are in the jungle so it's to be expected but we would advise to bring a sleep mask and ear plugs.

Everything was perfect!! we attended 3 tours (night tour, FICUS, Birds Quest) and they also amazing. Hotel Service also nice, always clean and at night time, the room was already turned into dark (curtains were closed) before we went back. I definitely recommend my friends and family to stay!

Very rústico and cozy. The food at Celajes was awesome. Service overall was great. We had some hard lumpy pillows and the mattress was hard but they immediately got us some different pillows and added some padding to the bed. Can be a bit noisy at night. The patio door needed to be kept open due to no AC in the room. You could hear the wind howling and some intermittent rains were loud on the tin roof. I used earplugs and it was all good with those. The Savia morning hike was exceptional. very calming and relaxing to be in the shaded forest.

Hotel Belmar was the perfect place to stay in Monteverde. Since we were working remotely for most of our trip, the meeting rooms and Wi-Fi were excellent—quiet, comfortable, and reliable for video calls. The biggest surprise was the birdlife around the hotel. We actually saw more birds from the terrace than on some of the wildlife tours we took. Since we were working and couldn’t spend all day exploring, it felt like we had our own birdwatching experience right from the hotel. We could even spot birds while working from the meeting room, which made the workdays feel pretty special.

This was a top notch experience. Great staff, and surprisingly excellent food. Our only disappointment was not being able to get a massage appointment when we were available. In fairness, we only stayed two nights, so there were not many opportunities. We will definitely come back again.

Beautiful property with lots of character and a beautiful view all the way out to the ocean. The restaurant serves good breakfast as well as delicious dinners. We really enjoyed the brewery as well. It’s a good 20 minute walk to the center of town or a short cab ride. Overall we would stay here again if we revisit Monteverde.

This hotel benefits from several things, none more important than their incredibly friendly and hospitable staff. They truly make you feel special throughout your stay and returning the beautiful property every day makes it feels as though you're coming home. The property grounds are beautiful and the restaurant patio is to die for. Not spending every single morning sipping coffee from that restaurant patio would be a mistake. Thank you to Hotel Belmar for an unforgettable 4 days.
