"Clean and comfortable room, helpful staff and good breakfast and evening meal. Building itself is a bit 'tired' looking but we would stay there again"
"A real chateau. Huge bedroom and bathroom. Gorgeous lounge plus a big wooded area for walks. They also have a pool but I didn’t use it. No fridge or safe in the room. Not air conditioned but they provide a fan. Full of history with medieval ruins and 18th century manor house. Great place but I wouldn’t stay in summer because of the lack of air conditioning."
"The staff is nice. The room is nice but no coffee machine in room or bath robes. They had coffee in the main area for tours and told us we could not have any. The restaurant was nice and staff was attentive. We didn't get breakfast too expensive. The hotel should have a shuttle to town it's too far you need a car. This hotel if they don't provide a coffee machine in the rooms they should offer it in the main area."
Pierre & Vacances Residence Le Moulin des Cordeliers Loches
8/10 Good
"I rate this property 5-stars primarily because of its outstanding location in Loches. Also, the front desk staff communicated very well in advance of our arrival. Other pluses include the kitchen and living areas. For these reasons, I think the proper is most ideal for young families. As an older couple I would give it four stars for the following reasons. The property is laid out in such a way where the distance from your vehicle to your room is likely to be long and likely to involves one or more flights of stairs. The actual sleeping room with our double bed was so small, there was barely enough room to get around the bed. When we arrived, we had to make our own bed and put in the trash liners. Not a welcome task after driving seven hours. It was clear from the lack of amenities that the host is trying to save money wherever they can. That is fine in some ways, but others were negative.
My suggestion is to charge a little more for the room and deliver a five star stay."
