"The room was clean and the cleaners come around daily. I found the breakfast a bit monotonous and the hotel could do a bit better by varying the breakfast menu."

"Centrally positioned for train/bus stations and eateries. Was a nice, obviously recently refurbished room. The bathroom had a good shower and tub. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. Only fault. No light switches or lamps by beds so had to switch off at wall by the door. A minor issue but thought it a little strange. Would definitely stay there again. Definitely value for money."

"I’ve stayed a few times, I would normally highly rate the food and staff, unfortunately this time was slightly below the normal standard they provide. The rooms are functional and the standard of cleanliness is very high, I would suggest they need to upgrade the TV,s they are small and very underwhelming. Would I go back? Yes"

"Our fist visit to Montrose. Lovely hotel which met all our needs in terms of friendliness, cleanliness, amenities and location. We had a very plentiful, tasty breakfast. Great atmosphere in the evening when there was a live band and a busy function suite. Have already recommended this hotel and this town to friends."
