The beds were comfortable and bathroom worked well, though a bit small with a huge tub shower to climb into. The staff is excellent and very helpful. Breakfast had some issues one morning, with cold eggs and coffee, but was fine a second morning. It can be a bit noisy as the room entry doors need slamming and the wood construction echoes. "We could not rate this hotel more highly, the location was exceptional, almost everything you'd want (restaurants, bars, historic sights like Roman Bath House and Hadrian's gate) were all within a 5 minute walk radius. I loved the style of the hotel and the courtyard, very laid back and relaxed. We enjoyed our stay here far more than a previous stay at the Marriott."
