"The property is well maintained, very cosy and welcoming. Host Chris is excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Our little dog was most welcome and I think she enjoyed having a yard to sniff around in and play ball. I would highly recommend this to other travelers with dogs. Easy walk into the town for coffee or dinner at the local pub."

"Poachers Paradise was very nice and the manager was great.
Unfortunately, I had to cut my stay short by one day due to extreme weather causing the sports event that I was in Rutherglen for to be cancelled.
The manager graciously offered to refund one night's stay but was unable to do so due to the wotif payment system. I found this disappointing.

"I booked for 2 nights 20-21 Dec 2025 where I was in Room 16. I found the room & the entire facility to be very clean, well maintained & updated. The room itself was very spacious, comfortable bed (2 good sleeps rare for me), work desk, coffee table, SmartTV, quiet air con, storage space, massive shower, separate toilet, bench area in kitchen with cleaning detergent along with milk, tea, coffee & biscuits. "The Motel was very quiet, located off the main road. Generally, the room was well appointed and bed comfortable. Overnight the outside Temp dropped to -3.8 degrees, but the heater coped very well and the room stayed warm. The receptionist was very helpful with advice for places for dinner. No problems staying again. "
