"Hotel has a beautiful carved maple lobby, beautiful view of the illinois river & friendlt and accomodating staff. Rooms are nice. Some of the hallways etc could use some updating. Nice and quiet with excellent complimentary coffee in the mornings. Irish pub within walking distance as well as excellent pizza at Hoops Pizza and beer. Also located next to I 74 with wasy access"

"Plus side: The staff was very kind, quick and friendly. Down side: The hotel lobby didn’t smell good. The room they checked us into, smelled even worse. My wife walked all the way into the room, I made it 3-4 ft inside the door. Looked at her and said, “we’re not staying here”. Plus side: The staff wasn’t upset I didn’t want to stay and asked to cancel. Idk side: Waiting to see if I get refunded. "

"We were trying to stay at local property and in this case I wish we wouldn't have. The room smelled like smoke, the bed was very uncomfortable and the shower did not drain properly. Had to stand in water while taking a shower. It was not comfortable at all."
