"This is a great base within a secure compound. What let it down was inconsistency - I was asked why I didn’t leave the key when I went out for the day (it was needed to get back into the compound) No towels had been placed in the room so had to be requested - power plugs to t.v. Did not fit the power sockets so an adapter needed to be brought - T.v. Service card needed to be topped up before being able to access channels. room was serviced after 1st night but not 2nd. No water supply on...

"The room was fantastic, the staff were brilliant ( obviousley most were in training), the food was good , if the food was just a tiny bit better ( this is not a critisism)would be an increadible place "

"I am not the one to write bad reviews… but this time … my husband and I were more than disappointed with the whole experience. First, when we checked in the bathroom had not been cleaned . We were also given a prone under the category we had booked. The doors in the kitchenette were falling off, the fridge froze all our food…We had bad weather while we were there and rain water was all over the floor one morning when we woke up. The air dryer was missing … I had to ask 3 times to finally have...

"Ilse hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und wir hatten einen sehr netten Austausch. Sie ist unglaublich fürsorglich und immer mit Antworten und Infos zur Stelle Als Ausgangspunkt für den Addo NP ist es perfekt. 7 Autominuten zum South Gate. Das Zimmer wirkt eher dunkel und die Unterkunft ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Leider hatten wir das kleine Appartement Richtung Strasse und konnten aufgrund des LKW Verkehrs sehr schlecht schlafen."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hitgeheim Country Lodge. The road in is a little rough, but as it is an eco reserve, that is to be expected and part of the experience. The reward is the wildlife along the way, and we were lucky enough to encounter some zebras. We chose a room with a private pool, which was absolutely beautiful and made our stay feel extra special. We loved the port provided and enjoyed a delicious Taste of South Africa dinner in the restaurant. A lovely final touch was having our car...
