"Lovely welcoming staff and informative introduction. Comfortable, spacious room with delicious cooked breakfast. Located in centre of town with off street parking. We loved our 2 nights here!"

"Room was clean and with good heating, enough clothe hangers and shelves to put bags and things on. Kitchen was basic but not enough cutlery to share with other guests. Would be good to have hand dryer or paper towels in the toilet/bathroom. Otherwise very convenient location for entry into the Lake Pedder/Gordon area and close to Mt Field National Park."

"Check-in was confusing, as there was no one at reception on arrival. When I called the provided number, I was instructed to open a locked room that was already occupied by another guest, which was quite concerning. There were also no clear instructions provided for the check-out process. Since my stay, I have been receiving emails stating that payment has not been made. This is incorrect, as I paid in full at the time of booking and have receipts to confirm this."

"It's a great spot, beds comfy, shower is good. It was quiet. Walking distance to Battery Point, Sandy Bay and the city. It's very clean too."

"Time for a facelift methinks. The basic room area was quite run down - need to patch and paint the walls, update light fittings, replace carpet and improve the layout by removing the dividing cupboard in the middle of the room. The divider creates a queen bed sandwiched between two walls. The bathroom was more up to date and clean. Prices were sky high for Dark Mofo and way too high for this budget accommodation. Great location though, and could do well if a little spruced up."

"Enjoyed the breakfast, which was included with the hotel price. This helps to offset the dysfunctionality involved in accessing the room through a staggered stairwell system. However, the location of the hotel on the bayfront is extremely convenient to tours on the water."

"Great location for a holiday in Hobart. Very friendly and helpful staff. However, the city facing rooms (also facing the hospital) were noisy, which was OK with me but a little surprising for a huge hotel. We were quite high up but it really felt as if we were by the side of the road with open windows (windows are closed and cannot be opened)."
