"Remodeled hotel. Rooms still small. Especially the bathroom. Beds comfortable. Good pillows. Linens seemed clean. Floor was not well cleaned, as barefoot walking I. It picked up grit and dirt. Front door very hard to both open and close. Light bulb was out in one lamp. A/C noisy at night.
Pool is beside a busy road and you get road noise. Noticed people driving up and unloading a van full of children to be in pool. Obviously we’re not staying there. I also think men ate breakfast there who were not staying there.
Breakfast was mediocre. Not as good as most hotels. Only one kind of pastry. One waffle maker for a lot of rooms. Potato’s were not good. Biscuits really not good.
Front desk staff vacillated between being very friendly and very rude. And inconsistent. To enter the office I never had to use room key until this morning. Guy at front desk yelled I had to use key. Not what the sign said.
When in Asheville I will seek other accommodations."
