The COVID-19 pandemic may have changed how we travel, but it hasn't deterred our love of exploring. Here are a few tips on how to deal with the new challenges of travelling:

• Investigate what, if any, restrictions or rules apply to both your origin and destination. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you book.
• Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA employee will ask you to lower your mask temporarily to verify your identity.
• To reduce the possibility of cross-contamination, position your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your pass directly to a TSA employee.
• One container of liquid hand sanitizer is now permitted in your carry-on bag. It must be no bigger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to remove it from your bag at the X-ray machine for scanning.
• To minimize handling during screening, put items such as your wallet, phone and belt into your carry-on rather than the bins.
• Transport your food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Separating food from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA agent will need to touch and open your bag for inspection.
