Very comfortable room (with balcony) overlooking a lovely park. We didn't eat at the hotel for dinner or breakfast (as were in Munich to visit with friends at theirs), but the facilities looked nice for food. There was on-street parking for free that was always available for us over our two-day stay, and there was a (not-free) garage in the hotel as well that we didn't use. Only negative? Clearly there were smokers in the room beneath us who smoked on their balcony, which came up to our floor and meant we had to close our windows and couldn't use the balcony whilst they smoked. Probably unavoidable unless the hotel prohibits smoking on balconies.

Spectacular stay. Wonderful service. Excellent room. Cleaned to perfection every day. Beautiful area - stunning nature park out the back door. You miss out by not going here. Oops - just blew a great secret. Worth every penny.

Another great stay
We have been staying at the Parkhotel for a number of years and find it an ideal base for staying in Munich. Our room was nice and spacious and the breakfast is always exceptional.

They had the best breakfast we have ever had in Europe ( we travel3x/ yr!) super attentive staff and just a wonderful experience all around! Our balcony was huge and overlooked a nice park area. Parking was simple- someone had said previously that is was tight- but we had an SUV and had no problems. ( not cheap- at 19 euro/ night- but safe and convenient- elevator straight to floor. Room was beautiful and very spacious!

We were positively surprised for the hotel´s staff, since our check-in until the mnute we checked-out, they were courteous, warm, helpful and very accommodating, the best of this hotel is its human component. But it is worth to mention the traditional oktobert fest ginger cookie was left in our room, it was a nice touch

Great hotel for expos
Great hotel for attending an expo in Munich. Accessible. Have parking on premise. Rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet is top. Price is reasonable during expo time. Staff are friendly and helpful. Stayed here twice during two different expos and was very please with it.

Another excellent stay
Our second stay and our visit was just as good as last time. Despite arriving at mid-day, well in advance of the usual 3pm check-in time, we were given an upgraded room and were made to feel most welcome. Breakfasts are excellent and were appreciated by both ourselves and our daughter and partner who live locally in Munich. Becoming dab hands with the integrated Munich transport system - a bus stopping just outside the hotel.

Incredible staff! So warm and welcoming! It’s a bit far from the Marienplatz- But if you take the subway it really isn’t a problem. The room was great and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay.

Hotel is good. But in summers required air conditioning. Also it should mention there is no air conditioning. Otherwise property is excellent and staff is also very good. Nice breakfast in the morning.

Beautiful spot, convenient and large rooms
The garden setting is beautiful. The rooms are large and comfortable. And the breakfast had lots of variety and was open till quite late in the morning if you wanted to sleep in a bit. It was unseasonably hot during my stay, and perhaps a fan or air conditioning would have helped with overnight comfort. Saying that you could leave the garden door open with the Venetian s down and take advantage of any breeze.

Fantastic hotel, which offers an unbeatable breakfast - at least fifty selections. It is situated in a park-like setting and is only four-stories high. It is a five-minute walk from a subway station and an Aldi's supermarket. Odeonsplatz in the heart of the old city is only five subway stops away.There is a nearby, interesting open-air market on Thursdays. The staff is very friendly and efficient. In my view, it's far superior to the big chain hotels.

Beautiful surroundings and royal breakfast
HotelROthof is massively underrated. Probably it's because they've just done the refurbishment (some of it may be still underway). I didn't expect much when I booked it, however I was up to a nice surprise! The room was big, comfortable and clean. It had a balcony and was overlooking the park, splendid view. The breakfast was taking place in a nice conservatory, also facing the park. The choice of food was huge, better than in 5 star hotels! And the cantine staff was really doing their best, offering great coffee and looking after me. I had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, 100% value for money and more. Will be glad to come back!

Highly recommended!
Staff extremely helpful and friendly, the room had everything I could want, it was comfortable and spacious. I will definitely go back, and next time I will ask for more towels, I’m sure I only have to ask.

Nice hotel, good location
Nice hotel to stay in. 15 min by public transport till city center (1 bus and 1 train ride). Lovely backyard garden which we were able to enjoy since the weather was good.

We checked-in on a hot day in Munich. The hotel does not have AC and we were given a room on the third floor - it was uncomfortable and the Wi-fi did not work on this floor. The staff were very helpful and switched us to a lower floor the next day. The weather cooled and rest of our stay was very comfortable. The train station is about 1/4 mile and takes about 10-15 minutes to get to Munich city center. The restaurant at the hotel is nice. Our kids used the tennis courts during our stay.

More customer care is needed.
3 main points - 1. Our son and his family live in Munich so, over the past few years, we have stayed at the Rothof around 5 times but they do seem to be aware of this. I am surprised as good hotels should acknowledge the return of good clients. 2. The hotel's restaurant was crammed for breakfast, with a queue outside, waiting for empty tables. Clients were having to share with other residents and it brought embarrassing communication problems on all sides. This is more usual for a B&B and not for an hotel which has considerably cheaper and quite local competitors. I recognise that it may be a high season problem, but they need to consider "glassing in" their seated patio area adjacent to the restaurant 3. There is no AC, and no fans in our room which made the hot weather (30+ degrees) quite difficult. We should not have to ask if fans are available. There is no compelling reason for us to continue to use the Rothof, especially as it is not convenient for the Airport train. Our daughter, her husband and our grandchild travelled to Munich with us and stayed at a new and much cheaper hotel quite close to the Rothof, but with easy access to the train. They have recommended it to us and we will consider using it, or a competitor, on our next visit.

Great hotel in a good location.
Very clean and modern hotel only a 12 min subway ride from downtown Munich. Very helpful staff that speak English well. Outstanding breakfast buffet included with the room. 45 minute cab ride to airport. 10 minute walk to subway. Room for 4 people and a small kitchenette. Only drawback was lack of A/C but with the windows open it was fine.

Family Munich stay
We spent two pleasant nights at Hotel Rothof Bogenhausen. Our party consisted of 6 adults, an eleven year old, a toddler and a 10 month old. Our three rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable; the breakfast buffet contained traditional European choices as well as eggs, bacon, etc and was delicious; and the front desk staff was helpful. In addition, the rooms contained fans (we were there in August) and there was a working lift (elevator).

Wonderful experience above expectation
I believe the Hotel should be rated 4+ stars. All evaluation criteria are excellent. Positive points: - Staff are really helpful and friendly. - Rooms are very comfortable, spacious with nice balcony. - Spacious Gym - Nice restaurant and green yard landscaping Negative points: - I didn't see really negative points. Some little comments: -Although the breakfast is good with variety of cold stuff, they need some improvements by adding other Hot stuff beside the eggs.

Overpriced hotel away from the center of town.
This hotel is located at the second to last stop on the 4U-Bahn stop. It is some distance to the center of Munich in a residential neighborhood. Access by public transportation from the Munich ZOB bus station require several distant walks. There are a limited number of restaurants close by the hotel. I have stay in 4 different hotels in the past two years in Munich and this one was overpriced and had the lowest value for price of any of the four. The photos provide somewhat misrepresent the property. We will not stay there again.

WOW!!!
That is by far one of the best stay. The staff super friendly, they gave me an upgrade room at check in and a super comfortable room with fine linen. The breakfast was with fresh baked in house bread and pastry. The best ever for all my multiple trips in Europe!!!

Our room was huge. Lots of space for the 2 of us. The breakfast was great and there was lots of Free parking on the street. Our only complaint is the top mattress was 2 twin beds with an unlevel seem in the middle.
